"Let me show you my Tropical Mayberry"! It's not only the slogan that I use for my real estate business but I truly believe that is the best description of the Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island area here in Nassau County, Florida. We are located as far northeast in Florida as you can go. We are only about 7 miles from Florida/Georgia border. Peaceful and serene but not so that you feel like you are in the boonies - it's just a more leisure like atmosphere. THe people here are very friendly and it's definitely more "southern" feeling than other parts of Florida. Yet, you are close proximity to the "big city" of Jacksonville so if you need that "mall" fix you can certainly drive there!
