"Hannah's Fund" Event

Hurricane Grill & Wings at the Julington Creek Marina

G.R.E.A.T. Rescue of NE Florida, Inc. is hosting an all-day fundraiser on Thursday, May 13^th at Hurricane Grill & Wings at the Julington Creek Marina . We hope you'll join us for delicious food and drinks...all for a GREAT cause! Our event, "Hannah's Fund", is to raise monies for a 16 month old female Golden Retriever, "Hannah", who will be a therapeutic companion to a wonderful five year old boy named Landon.

Landon was born with moderate to severe hearing loss and has been wearing hearing aids since he was 5 months old. He has developmental delays with his speech and just started walking with a walker this past summer.

GREAT Rescue had been searching for the "right" companion for Landon, when Hannah entered our Rescue. She was lovingly surrendered by an older couple after repeated surgeries due to health issues.

Our GREAT friend and Animal Behaviorist, Bob Hammesfahr, recently observed a visit with Landon and Hannah and agreed that indeed they are a GREAT match!

GREAT Rescue is sponsoring Hannah's adoption. To make the adoption a success, we feel a fence is needed to provide Hannah with a safe environment to release some of her puppy energy, while enjoying play time and creating precious memories with her new family. We're hoping our extended GREAT family can help us raise the funds necessary to put a fence in place.

Please join us for this all-day event on Thursday, May 13^th, at Hurricane Grill & Wings. This GREAT fundraiser is being graciously hosted by restaurant owner and GREAT Board member Kristi Kluba and her husband, Rob. A generous portion of the day's sales will be donated to Hannah's Fund.

Well-behaved dogs are welcomed to join us out on the patio!

Hurricane Grill & Wings is located at 12795 San Jose Blvd (the Mandarin-Julington Creek area), Jacksonville 32223, in the new Fresh Market shopping center. They are open from 11am - 10pm on Thursday.
